I finally caved today...after August, I was planning on going ALL semester long without doing laundry but today it was just too much.  I just had to. (and don't ask me what I did for undies etc...you already know the answer.  Front to back, inside out, it's all good).

So I got a laptop for school.  Awesome deal from Dell, 15.4 inch Vostro from Dell, only $600.  Now after lugging it to and from school (that's 24 blocks everyday), I really wish I had gotten the 14 inch....this thing is a BEAST.  It's huge and it weighs like 8 lbs.  Oh well...

I start seeing my first patients in January...elementary school kids.  I...am...afraid.

One thing I love about school, and I know I'm going to miss once I graduate is all of the social interaction and events.  So on that note, here are my updates:

Having to wear scrubs in below freezing weather sucks!!  The pants are so thin it's like wearing nothing...

Cooking for yourself is also very tiring, especially after 8 hours of class everyday.  I've been buying the exact same thing every week...I've got it down to a science.  5 lbs. chicken breast, 4 bags frozen vegetables, 3 dozen eggs, 2 boxes of Trader Joe's Oat & Wheat Swirls (the BEST cereal ever!!), 1 gallon milk, 2 cartons of OJ, brown rice.  I cook a ton of it at a time and divide it into meals in tupperware.  Freeze...eat.
If I consistently eat this for every meal of the week, I can keep my eating expense down to under $40 a week.  I usually have to splurge and eat out on the weekends though b/c I can't take it.  It's so bland...I've recently discovered the magic of garlic and basil though.

One of my classmates showed me this awesome photoshop tutorial website that shows you how to make pictures (especially cool azn car pics) look awesome.  Blurring the background and then masking off to make the object of focus "pop" is the cherry on top.

The "Z" btw, was sold recently to a 19 yo kid.  Strangely, I was really sad...as if someone close to me died.  Although I'm sad to see it gone, I'm happy someone else gets to enjoy it....

Ever wonder what a Home Depot looks like in NYC?

Midterms are finally over...I made it through w/satisfying marks.
So apparently Halloween in NY means kids dress up and walk up and down streets getting candy from stores on the streets....let me clarify....that's the ONLY method of trick or treating kids get here.  I guess it's what they've always known Halloween to be, but it just seems so sad to me.  I have yet to see a single pumpkin....there are no decorated houses w/lights or scarecrows in the yard...there are no neighbors who set up haunted houses etc.  It's just a regular business day as usual, except there are tons of kids dressed up on the streets of the city.  I don't know why it seems so odd to me...I think it's because there are still so many cars on the road.  I always imagine halloween to be a night where people dare not drive for fear of running over children...that and scary front yards I guess.  Well, I'm sure the Thang tradition of hiding at the back of the house and turning off all the lights to signify that we're "not" home will continue haha.

Getting ready to go to the biggest halloween party i've ever seen.  They ended up shutting down the party b/c the line was so long outside it was taking over several blocks....plus I like the way this picture looks.

The "tamer" Dean's Halloween party.  Still a lot of fun though...something about seeing professors gettin down

Happy Halloween!! Here are some bonus dentition pics (this is what your face looks like when you're ~8 years old.  Gross huh?)
